Tanigawadake Ropeway will be reborn as Tanigawadake Joch

Starting December 1, 2024, Tanigawadake Ropeway by Hoshino Resorts will be rebranded as “Tanigawake Joch by Hoshino Resorts”.
The name “Joch” comes from the German word “joch,” meaning “saddle,” which refers to a depression between mountains. Since the Tenjindaira area, accessible by the ropeway, is located in such a saddle on Mt. Tanigawa. We hope this new name will encourage people to explore the many facets of the mountain.
We aim to create a year-round destination where visitors can immerse themselves in the wonders of nature.
